creates a two-piece device. It utilizes already-completed 802.11 WLAN RF core modules that are FCC Lab tested and approved, and “modular approved” and combines the existing RF module with an interface “CPU Assembly” that has the software drivers and adds your specific requirement for a particular interface and mechanical package.
(By contrast, Full Custom is when our Engineers completely design a radio assembly for you from scratch and the NRE (Non Recurring Engineering) is considerably higher and the process necessarily takes a longer time. With Full Custom a new radio circuit and PCB meeting your technical and size requirements is designed for you.)
The semi-custom approach has much lower NRE cost and is much faster to deliver. Indeed a portion of the NRE cost may be rebatable back to you with your production purchase of devices.
Nobody touches our low pricing.
How can we do it? We have Engineers in North America and Asia standing by to assist you no mater wherever you are in the World.
Our high-quantity devices are manufactured in low-cost Asia to get the world-class Production and world-best pricing. The final assemblies may include open modules subassemblies to install within your own devices, or built into enclosures of steel or plastic cases that can be completed in Asia, the Americas or Euro facilities.
Our factories produce thousands of 802.11 WLAN wireless devices per week and we can certainly handle yours as well.
